Fishing report

Amateur Fishermen’s Association of Queensland Bribie Island

Good results from the coffee Rocks around Cape Moreton up to Hutchinson Shoals, bags include Mixed reef fish.

The beaches on Bribie are still producing good flathead and whiting. You need to cast out further as the weather is still warm, find cooler water.

The Bongaree jetty and the bridge are still producing good catches with mixed bags being reported. The two deep holes at Whitepatch and Donnybrook are still producing good cod and some snapper.

2018 you will see Junior fishing training come in, please enquire with the club regarding this. Dad will have to become a member also.

Our first competition is on the 20th and 21st January in the passage and Moreton Bay. There should be a great turn out for our first competition for 2018.

The club runs raffles at the Sandstone Point Hotel on every Friday between 4 & 6pm.
