Welcome to issue 32, the new LOCAL Island and Surrounds News, We have evolved tremendously over the last few years, it’s important thank all our valued clients and contributors who have made this newspaper possible and allowed us to grow with your business.
When I started this paper my vision always has been to support our LOCAL community groups, support our LOCAL businesses and build our LOCAL economy. I believe I have achieved this in the past 2 and half years and I am going to continue. I want to give our LOCAL businesses and community groups with a platform to promote their activities in print media along with online (checkout our website www.islandandsurrounds.com.au ). We are the LOCAL newspaper for the digital world.
Our name now is the LOCAL News T/A the ISLAND and Surrounds Pty Ltd. There are no changes in the paper at all and it will continue to inform our community of the issues, news, events
We are in the business of LOCAL news only and you can be assured as a newspaper I will insure you get important news to our community in all categories possible to cover a range of interests.
The Meander Map is the only local map of our region that showcases our businesses and is drawing visitors and Tourism to the area via our various distribution points in Queensland. For those of you who rely on our tourists and day visitors to spend in your business, I encourage you to look at advertising on our Bribie Island and Surrounds Meander. It will give you so much more exposure than you think. Our Community is fast becoming a tourist destination and our visitors need to find you. The rates are very affordable, and the Meander also gives our visitors information and outlines places to visit in and around our region.
