AMATEUR FISHERMEN’S ASSOCIATION of QUEENSLAND

Commenced our involvement providing Fishing data to Government since 1904

Hi to all. The wind and waves have kept most people in the lee of it. The bridge is producing good catches of Goldspot Cod, Trevally and Mackerels.

The ripples and canals are producing Grassy Sweetlip, big Bream and Flathead. Pilchards and Mullet flesh work well as bait.

For those who braved the offshore areas, particularly from Wide Caloundra down to the Cape Moreton came home with great bags of mixed reef fish. Red Throat Sweetlip, Pearl Perch, Snapper and Mackerels among them.

Our last fishing competition was the Patrons Shield, which is a boat only competition. The winner was Robert Pittock, well done Rob. Our next competition was a three-day event camping out at Mission Point last weekend.
