Hairdressers with Hearts would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has so kindly responded to the call for volunteers in the last issue.
We are committed to:
Taking a proactive approach against domestic violence and elder abuse
Providing appropriate training and resources to help hairdressers assist victims who confide in them
Harnessing the resources of the community to make a positive difference in the lives of people affected by domestic violence and elder abuse

Bribie Island RSL Women’s Auxillary and the Bribie Island RSL Sub-Branch for the generous one-off financial donations.
Bribie Island Bowls Club who are so generously allowing us to hold our volunteer meetings on their premises and helping us out in so many different ways.

The Official Bribie Island Launch
Hairdressers with Hearts official launch takes place on Saturday 13th October at Serenity @The Waterways, Bongaree from 2pm to 5pm.
Tickets are selling fast and it’s shaping up to be a very memorable occasion.
Cost is $25 and includes bubbles on arrival, delicious finger foods, music, tea, coffee and a chance to mix and mingle with fellow supporters of this great cause.
You’ll get to hear from the founder, Sonia Colvin, meet the Board and be supporting us to spread our message to hairdressers and barbers far and wide.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Would you like to make the most of your post-working life?
Many hands make light work and when it comes to running a not for profit, especially one in the establishment phase, there are lots of hands needed.
Hairdressers with Hearts would love to hear from anyone who can volunteer a few hours to help out with administrative tasks and from any professional accountants who are keen to volunteer their services.
