Welcome Readers to Issue 40,

In this issue you will find another update on the Pelicans, Queensland wins the Pie of Origin (Beefy’s Pies), fix Bribie Island road, tax payers relief, Beachmere fish kill findings from Dr Diggles and much more.

See what events are on and coming up in August is Book Week held at the Bribie Island Library.

For all the dads out there, we would like to wish you a very happy fathers day, and hope you enjoy the day with family and friends.

This month we lost a Bribie Icon Glen Hickman from a year and a half battle with Cancer. His memorial service was just a beautiful tribute to Glen and his life, community work and supporting our community and professional achievements, the biggest achievement was his family. The LOCAL News, Island and Surrounds sends their deepest sympathy to Kerrianne and their children.
