PUMICESTONE ROAD SPEED LIMIT REDUCTIONS

Simone Wilson, member for Pumicestone said “Following my representations to the Department of Transport and Main Roads, I am pleased to advise the Toorbul and Donnybrook communities that speed limit reductions have been implemented in two sections of Pumicestone Road to improve safety for motorists and residents fronting the road.

1. An approximate four kilometre section reduced from 100km/h to 80km/h from approximately Hume Road and adjoins the existing 80km/h speed zone located two kilometres east of Donnybrook Road.

2. An approximate one kilometre section reduced from 80km/h to 60km/h on the short section just west of Bishop Road to just east of Otto Road. This section is bordered by residential development.

Both speed limit changes respond to community concerns raised with me and will improve safety.

I trust this information is well received by locals in the interests of everyone’s safety.”
