Hello

Welcome to issue 41, in this issue we have some great articles on senior’s week in our community and issues that affect all of us.

I probably keep saying this and nagging readers; however, it is one of the most important issues in our community which is supporting our local businesses. The LOCAL News will be working closely with our politicians to see how we can all work together and come up with a strategy to ensure we do support our local businesses. If you wish to have some input, can I suggest you join the local Bribie Island Chamber of Commerce. I urge everyone to shop local and support our businesses, it helps create jobs in our region and it’s the local community that really can make a difference here. Don’t shop online, you can purchase anything you need right here!

On another note, the fires on Bribie Island have been fierce and have also killed a lot of our wildlife. In the next issue of the LOCAL News we will be doing a full story on how the fire started and how did it get out of hand so quickly.

Enjoy your read!
