Andrew Lloyd Weber social outing – Tuesday June 13

U3A Beachmere’s inaugural theatre outing was declared a success by all who attended.

One of our members gave the following review:

“Could there be a more wonderful way to spend a couple of lazy hours than by listening to the extensive musical repertoire of arguably the 20th century’s most successful and influential composer?

Travelling door-to-door from The Hub to the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre in the Beachmere Lions Bus made it a breeze. Listening to musical gems from Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story and Evita was truly amazing. An unexpected surprise was to also hear an oration covering Andrew Lloyd Weber’s life and achievements (including his occasional but seemingly rare, misadventure).

The show was excellent and thanks to U3A for a great day........”

U3A Beachmere is looking to arrange additional social outings.
