Beachmere Seniors Expo met with huge support

With over 20 stalls and more than 130 visitors the Beachmere Seniors Expo was a huge success.

Held at the Beachmere Hub and organized by Beachmere U3A President Barb Woodroffe the afternoon was packed with guest speakers, entertainment and an afternoon tea.

Local community groups as well as local businesses that support seniors kept up with a steady demand for information about their activities, events and products.

“We really didn’t know what sort of interest or support we would receive as it was the very first time we have organized such an event.  We had speakers on legal matters, travel and scams with each session being full. It was wonderful to see so many people interested and visiting each of the stalls,” a very pleased Barb Woodroffe said.
