Bribie Island Probus Club Has a New President

At the recent Annual General Meeting of The Probus Club of Bribie Island Inc, outgoing President David Beatson (pictured R) handed over the chains of office to Bob Briggs, who will take charge of the club’s operations for the next year. David spent some time praising the work of the members of his Management Committee, commenting that the task of heading up the club was made much easier by their individual contributions. Bob, with an impressive background in electrical and business management fields and a good deal of experience as a technically oriented Queensland public servant, expressed the hope that his term of office would see the club continue to prosper. The mixed club is open to men and women residing in the local area and meets at 9:15 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the Bribie Island RSL. Visitors welcome.
