Fire rips through Caboolture tyre business

A man is in hospital with serious injuries following a fire at a Caboolture tyre business this afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to Tyres & More in Peter Rash Court, Caboolture after the blaze broke out about 1pm. 

A staff member of the business was rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with significant injuries. It is believed no other employees were injured in the fire.

Thick black smoke filled the air and could be seen kilometres away in neighbouring suburbs before the fire was brought under control about 45 minutes later.

Fire investigators are trying to determine the source of the blaze, which so far remains unclear. The cause of the fire may not be known for many days due to the danger surrounding the site. The fire has left the building structurally compromised, with a significant hole in the roof.
