Fisticuffs Golden Gloves set to deliver the biggest fight night yet

The countdown is on for one of Australia's premier amateur boxing events, with the 2026 Fisticuffs Golden Gloves, proudly presented by Bodyshot Boxing Club, set to take over the Bribie Island Hotel on Saturday September 12. 

After selling out two years in a row, this year's event is expected to be the biggest and most exciting yet, featuring an outstanding line up of elite amateur boxers from both Australia and overseas. 

For the first time in the event's history, international teams from Tahiti, Fiji, Tonga, Nauru, New Zealand and Nepal will travel to compete against some of Australia's best amateur boxers. Their inclusion adds an exciting international flavour to what has become one of the country's most respected amateur boxing showcases. 

The night will also feature a strong team of local favourites from Bodyshot Boxing Club, who will proudly represent their club against some of the toughest opposition in the nation. With fighters travelling from boxing clubs across Australia, spectators can expect a night filled with skill, determination and unforgettable contests. 

Event organiser Dwayne Tindall believes this year's Golden Gloves will raise the bar once again. 

"Every year the event continues to grow and the support from the boxing community has been incredible. To have teams travelling from six different countries, along with some of Australia's best amateur talent, is something we're extremely proud of. If you love boxing, this is a night you simply can't afford to miss." 

With ringside seating, an electric atmosphere and a reputation for producing action-packed bouts from the opening bell to the final fight, the Fisticuffs Golden Gloves has become a must-attend event for boxing fans throughout Queensland. 

Tickets are selling fast and with the previous two events selling out completely, organisers encourage fans to secure their seats early to avoid disappointment.
