Welcome to issue 57, Phew! The election is over. 😊 The LOCAL News would like to congratulate Ali King, Labor Member and MLA for Pumicestone, Ali made quite a lot of promises to our electorate and some have been outlined in our article called Pumicestone Election Votes. Ali King also has an extra year now to deliver them all to us.

One very important promise the LOCAL News will follow with Ali King is the promise of a new satellite hospital for Bribie Island, this promise is however separate to our own Local Doctors, the Vaids, who now have approval to build their hospital behind the Park n Ride car park in Bongaree. I would love to hear from you in relation to having two hospitals now on Bribie Island. Is this a good thing or could the $35mil be better spent on our Bribie Bridge? And where would the new hospital go?

Also in this issue there are loads of local articles about our community and what is happening. Once again please support our advertisers, they are your neighbours!

Enjoy the read.

Warm regards

Belinda Ferguson
