Great news for local motorists and tradies

It was great to see 7 Eleven Service Station open its new store at Sandstone Point earlier this week and bring new competition to the area. I don't know about you, but it has been some time since I have bought petrol on Bribie, preferring to top up whenever I am off the Island, often at significant cost savings, sometimes saving up to 40 cents a litre depending upon the price cycle. The new store will be great for tradies with its convenient location, offering on-the-run coffee from $1 and up to $3 for a large coffee, and an extensive range of sandwiches, pies, cakes, and drinks.

My advice to those new to 7-Eleven, is to download their App, link it to your Virgin Velocity frequent flyer account and earn points for every purchase. The App's main advantage is that you can lock in your petrol price for the next seven days. So, with rapid changes in the price cycle, you can lock in low fuel prices for your next fill. I have saved $18 on a tank fill, which is quite a significant saving. Besides 7-Eleven, the new development will have four retail shops to benefit the marina precinct further.
