If you’re not already in the festive spirit of Christmas, there is still time! While the kids are eagerly counting down to the arrival of the big guy in the red suit, many parents out there are probably counting down until it’s all over. There is some good news (no, Christmas is not cancelled, sorry parents, haha!) with many activities and events happening to help pass the time and keep the kids – and even bigger kids – entertained until we see in the new year.
So where do we start? Take your pick of fun events across the region from now until the start of the new year.

Christmas Carols – Pine Rivers Park in Strathpine will be a hive of festive fun on Sunday December 18 from 4pm. There will be Christmas llamas for families to pat and have photos with, twilight markets, food trucks, Santa’s Village, giant snow globes, live stage entertainment and fireworks.
Bribie Island Baptist Church Christmas Eve Carols – Saturday December 24 from 5pm. Jumping castle, barbecue, coffee and more.
Christmas lights – check out your local area for some bright and twinkling displays. Some of the bigger lighting displays across the region will remain open until the end of December.
