It’s time to celebrate the Year of the Dragon with the 2024 Moreton Bay Lunar New Year event. You can embrace the vibrant traditions of the East in this family-friendly celebration to mark the beginning of the Chinese New Year at Caboolture Town Square on Saturday February 17.

An event filled with lots of colour and flair, there will be performances featuring traditional Asian music and dance, including the mesmerizing Red Dragon Traditional Lion Dance, soulful Chinese Orchestra performances, a dazzling Magic show, a Drumming spectacular and so much more.

If trying the yummy delicacies is right up your alley, head along and delight your taste buds in an Eat Street-style feast of tantalising Asian flavours. Sample a variety of delectable dishes or savour your favourite Asian cuisine.

If jumping in and getting the chance to be part of all the fun is your thing, there will be engaging workshops designed to share and celebrate the essence of this vibrant heritage.

Saving the best for last, experience the grand finale with a brilliant pyrotechnic firecracker display that promises to light up the night sky. Please note that the display might be loud, and some younger children and pets may find it startling.

A full program of activities and other information will be released closer to the event. This event is proudly supported by Strategic Partner City of Moreton Bay and Multicultural Affairs, Queensland government and the Multicultural Association of Caboolture and Surrounds. This event is delivered by Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT).
