Welcome Readers to issue 65!

This month we’ve covered parts of the State Budget, in particular Health. I would have liked to have done a comprehensive article on what the budget means for Pumicestone residents. However, once again, our State Member did not respond to any questions we put to her in relation to the budget – or any other matters of interest to our readers on which we have invited her response. It’s very difficult for any publication to present a balanced view of the policies and activities of our local politicians when one side refuses to communicate with us. But we’ll keep trying.

Also in this issue you will see our regular staff writer Mozza “out and about” gathering information on more great places for locals to visit.

Good to see the new Caboolture Watch House is now up and running with a wider range of amenities to serve the public see page 16.

Please check out the QLD Car Sales advertisement and an article on the winner of this issue’s volunteer award. A big Thank You is due to Wes, the owner of that popular local business. It’s fantastic that he gives back so generously to our volunteers. If you know of anyone you think has done a lot for this community, please email their details to Wes.

We have some great new advertisers in this issue! Please take the time to look at all our ads - some have articles attached to them with valuable information on their services. It’s important to support our local businesses and help keep the economy going in our region. We’re lucky to have so many talented people living here and providing their professional services to us.
