The Greater Caboolture Chamber of Commerce is already making an impact in the local community and providing valuable support to businesses in the area. It is actively involved in the ‘Caboolture Made’ Morton Bay Regional Council initiative. The goal has been to lift the profile of Caboolture and business confidence in the area. ‘Caboolture Made’ objectives have aligned with that of the Chamber, where there is a natural fit for supporting and promoting local businesses, and talking up Caboolture as a great place to live, work and do business.
Many businesses participating in the ‘Caboolture Made’ program have already seen the Chamber’s benefits and become members. There is a fresh glow of confidence in the air with businesses connecting, collaborating, and establishing new working relationships. Business owners have said they have been feeling a greater sense of pride in Caboolture and a noticeable lift in business.
The Chamber takes in a business catchment as far north as Woodford, to Burpengary and east to Sandstone Point. The Chamber was formed in October last year, however has only been active since February with its monthly event program for local business people. Already its membership is over 56, with plans to increase the active membership to over 700 over the next few years. This membership level will make it one of the pre-eminent Chambers in Queensland and reflect the significant predicted growth in the Caboolture area.
Naomi Spence, Chamber President, said, “I feel strongly that a Chamber is for the whole business community, not just its members. So, therefore, we encourage people to be members simply because the more members we have, the greater our voice on their behalf if we need to talk to any of the levels of government.”
“Our mission”, Naomi said, “is to support all businesses, organisations and social enterprises in a bid to not only ensure they survive the harsh times but, most importantly, continue to thrive”.
With plans to deliver new events, benefits and support to make membership dynamic and valuable by creating fresh opportunities for collaboration, networking, education and community involvement, it is a great time to join the Greater Caboolture Chamber of Commerce.
