From those that serve up delicious morsels of food and drink to others who go above and beyond to assist you, there are so many amazing businesses across the community.

Now it’s time to highlight the best of the best and get ready to hand out the accolades.

The Pumicestone Business Excellence Awards recognise the achievements of locally owned businesses across the electorate, with strong community engagement through public nominations and voting.

The awards aim to highlight local economic contribution, innovation and customer service, and also provide businesses with an opportunity to build visibility and community support.

In 2025, the awards ceremony was held at Sandstone Point Hotel on May 27, following more than 2500 nominations. Some of the lucky winners from 2025 included Bribie Sand Gravel and Landscaping who took home the Community Impact Award, Courageous Girls for Best Education and Childcare, Subway Bribie won the People’s Choice Award and Little Mike’s Cafe was the Business of the Year.

State Member for Pumicestone Ariana Doolan is looking forward to seeing who the community lends their support to for this year’s award nominations.

“Our local businesses are the backbone of the Pumicestone community and these awards are about recognising the hardworking people who keep our local economy strong,” Ms Doolan said. “From family-run cafés to tradies and tourism operators, these awards shine a light on the businesses that make our community what it is.”
