In other Abbey news, their festive celebrations are back this year with both ‘A Medieval Christmas: An Evening of Gregorian Chant’ and ‘A Very Victorian Christmas: A High Tea Experience’ returning for 2022.

On Saturday November 26, Gregorian Chant Choir, Schola Cantorum, will perform a series of medieval chants and carols in the ambience of the Abbey Church in what is now a traditional commencement to Advent for the Abbey Museum. It is not only the eyes and ears which are treated to a feast but also the taste buds, with a supper of delightful medieval Christmas treats following the recital. Bookings are essential.

On Saturday December 3, guests will enjoy a beautifully presented and delicious ‘High Tea’ as Victorian Carollers perform nostalgic Christmas favourites. Come celebrate the spirit of Christmas and pause for a photo around the four-metre Victorian Christmas tree. You may dress up or come as you are to what will be a most joyful experience. Available to book in 2 sessions, 10.30am and 2.30pm. For further information visits abbeymuseum.com.au
