Sadly there has been an increase in crime in our region, with some arrests being made. Some locals have created a new facebook page called Bribie Crime Report with over 5,000 locals already joining the page as Bribie residents’ interest in law-and-order skyrockets - get online and have a look. We also look at cybercrime and how to protect yourself.

There are exciting new changes happening at Sandstone Point Hotel and Big Fish Junction shopping precinct will open soon. Snake season is upon us and we have a brilliant article about ‘what to do if a snake slithers into your piece of paradise’.

With our usual informative fishing report and our boating tips discussing lightweight cartopper dinghy’s, we have our anglers covered.

We have an update regarding the Bribie Island Bridge petition and wish to thank all of you who have signed the petition with the last issue adding an additional 69 signatures.

With Christmas is just around the corner, it’s hard to believe we only have one more issue for 2022.

As usual we cover a wide variety of local issues, while showcasing our local businesses. It is our local businesses who make this publication possible so please support them.

Warm regards

Belinda
