Eric Shields is a local resident who wants to help the community by running for Mayor of Moreton Bay Regional Council.
Eric has been wearing the hat of corruption buster, highlighting corruption in all forms of government and exposing the lack of community consultation across the Moreton Bay region.
After a successful career in multinational companies such as P&O Shipping, Carlton United Breweries, Independent Distillers and Olympic Gaming, Eric wants to bring his corporate experience and knowledge to the position of Mayor.
A self-professed "people person", he enjoys meeting people and loves life. This is also evident as he has also been a professional musician for much of his life, performing here and overseas with bands such as Cold Chisel, Dragon and Midnight Oil.
Over the past few years Eric's Facebook page titled The Truth - Moreton Bay has gained momentum in highlighting the shortfalls in the council and listening to residents’ concerns.
This is why Eric has now put his hand up to run for Mayor.
