Welcome to Helen Pryor, the new Licensee of the Beachmere Post Office. Helen has been operating the Post Office for a couple of months now and it is great to see her smiling face.
Helen has had many years experience as a member of the customer service staff at Scenic Rim Council, so this is the perfect fit for her in our community. It took many weeks of training at the GPO in Brisbane, the Caboolture Post Office and hands on with the previous Licensee to gain the knowledge required to operate such a diverse small business.
The services offered are many and varied including the usual post, parcels, banking, bill payment and passport photos, but did you know she also can organise translation of documents, TFN applications, Fit for Work, Key Pass Card Identification for those in the community who do not hold a license, Travel Cards, Overseas Currency and she is an agent for Inter Flora. The shop also stocks a diverse range of giftware, stationery and the specials brochures come out once a fortnight.
Helen is the sole operator and proves small business is the backbone of any community. Opening hours are: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 11am. The Post Office closes from 12 noon to 1 pm weekdays so Helen can grab a bite to eat.
