LIONESS FAIR BEACHMERE

Roll up Beachmere and Surrounds for the annual Lioness Fair to be held at Clayton Park on Saturday 13 October, 8am till 2pm.

There are still some stalls available, priced from $25 to $45, and local Beachmere Community Groups can have a free information stall to promote their organisation.

To date there will be plants for sale, including a hibiscus stall, brick a brac, fishing gear, hats and scarfs, handmade craft, clothing, jewelry and semi-precious stones. Book your stall now with Di Newell on 0418 711 043 or email sizzlin@bigpond.com for an application form.

This year stalls will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. No sites will be reserved. So, come and set up early to get the best spot.

Refreshments can be bought from the coffee van and other food including hamburgers, chips, sausages and ice cream etc. will be available from various vendors, or you can pack a picnic lunch to enjoy the day.

Entertainment will be supplied by a Balloon Artist, Dance for Jazz, and a Vocalist who will sing throughout the day. We will also get to enjoy hearing from the local school choirs.

After lunch it’s time for the annual pet parade, followed by games for the children. The tried and tested favorites being, the three-legged race, egg and spoon race, and my personal favorite, the sack race.

The grand finale will be the Dry Boat race between our two local schools. Who will win the trophy?

It’s going to be a fabulous event, so mark it in your calendar and support the Beachmere Lioness Club.
